Friedrichsbad

Friedrichsbad, Baden-Baden

The Friedrichsbad in Baden-Baden has an over 130-year-old bathing tradition. When it opened in 1877, it was the most modern public bath house in Europe, and its Roman-Irish spa was an absolute innovation.

Its fascination has remained unchanged to thid day, and as an heritage-protected historic monument the bath still is very popular. The fantastic combination of Roman bathing culture and Irish hot-air baths offers an exclusive spa experience on a round tour with 17 different stops.

In 1994, Kannewischer Holding and the Kurzentrum Rheinfelden in Switzerland joined forces to lease these two world-famous spa resorts in Baden-Baden.

Caracalla Therme was one of the first thermal baths in modern history focussing on physical regeneration and the prevention of ailments, and therefore it has special significance. Kannewischer's engineering and technical design definitely left its mark on the Caracalla Therme.

The increase in the number of spa visitors by 10 % and the doubling of turnover at the same time clearly demonstrates that the right decisions had been made. We continue to improve and advance our to "classic" spas to ensure their success in the future.
